Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate to join its nationally recognized practice in Atlanta, New York, or Wilmington. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience and will work on sophisticated, high-profile matters alongside a collaborative national team.

Applicants should hold a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to the relevant bar, and demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where practice will occur.
• Excellent writing, communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A, and creditor negotiations.
• Advise clients on distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions.
• Participate in distressed asset sales and acquisitions.
