Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant to join a growing, community-minded team. You will greet customers, understand their needs, demonstrate vehicle features, discuss financing, and guide buyers from qualification to closing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and determine vehicle needs.
• Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicles.
• Suggest optional equipment for customers to purchase.
• Research availability of models and options.
• Consult with Sales Manager as needed; never leave without consulting a sales Manager.
• Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade-in, license, and financing requirements.
• Prepare all related paperwork (sales slips, credit applications).
• Deliver new vehicles and explain warranty and paperwork to customers.
• Maintain a prospect development system.
• Meet or exceed forecast and sales targets.
