Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney in California. The role involves managing litigation from filing through resolution, advising clients, and working in a fast-paced, integrity-driven environment.

Qualified candidates will hold the California Bar, have 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, strong writing and speaking skills, and the ability to mentor teammates while coordinating court appearances statewide.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar with no discipline history.
• MInimum 2-year civil law firm preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in litigation preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication across all audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with staff to develop high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for clients in and out of court during the litigation process.
• Draft, review and file complaints, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate and attend court proceedings, with travel as needed.
• Document activity in accordance with firm and client policies.
• Research case laws and regulations and form legal opinions for supervisors.
• Communicate with clients to maintain and develop relationships and negotiate settlements.
