Job summary

Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, seeks an Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders to begin Fall 2027. The role focuses on teaching, supervision, and developing a Master’s program within a community-engaged health sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate required or ABD with completion before appointment.
• Ability to teach and engage in scholarly activity, with potential for external funding.
• Must hold or be eligible for Texas SLP licensure and/or ASHA CCC-SLP.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program; evaluate student progress.
• Supervise field-based students or internships when needed.
• Demonstrate scholarly productivity through publications and conference activity.
• Assist in developing a Master’s program and provide department and university service.
