Job summary

Carleton College is hiring an enthusiastic Assistant Director of Student Activities responsible for contributing to student life and overseeing a co-curricular program for about 2,000 undergraduates. This role includes advising over 200 student organizations and managing significant budgets.

The ideal candidate will have strong event planning skills, be detail-oriented, and support a diverse student body. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility for evening and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of directly related full-time, professional experience.
• Desire to support a diverse student body in a liberal arts environment.
• Ability to act with courtesy, tact, and confidentiality.
• Experience in advising student organizations required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and assessment of student events and services.
• Advise multiple student organizations and manage budgets.
• Coordinate regular staff meetings for the Student Activities Programming Board.
• Serve as a primary advisor for student organizations.
