Job summary

Ophelia, located atop the Beekman Tower, seeks friendly servers to provide attentive service in a fast-paced, high-volume dining environment. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver food and drinks, and assist with the dining room operations.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate and understand English.
• Possess basic math skills and be able to handle money.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift trays up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure they feel comfortable.
• Take food and beverage orders and input into POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly.
• Explain specials and menu items; answer questions about the menu.
• Process payments and assist guests with their final bill.
• Assist fellow servers and bussers to reset tables as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of food allergies and dining room procedures.
