Job summary

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking an Agriculture Teacher to instruct Environmental and Natural Resources, and Agriculture Foundation coursework in line with SC standards. Knowledge of FFA and 4H is preferred; must be able to drive students in a state vehicle.

The role includes advising the FFA chapter, supervising SAE programs, and preparing lesson plans and materials for assigned courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture or closely related field.
• Valid South Carolina teacher certification in appropriate area.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to transport students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Environmental and Natural Resources Pathway.
• Instruct Agriculture Foundation Course work in accordance with SC standards.
• Advise the FFA chapter and oversee SAE programs for all students.
• Prepare teaching plans and materials for all courses assigned.
• Attend FFA events and state conventions with delegates.
