Job summary

New Diana Intermediate School is seeking an Agricultural Science Teacher to lead the high school agricultural program and oversee the SAEP, including project supervision and farm oversight. The teacher will also advise the local FFA chapter and help plan leadership and career activities.

Responsibilities include developing district-aligned lesson plans, supporting diverse learners, collaborating with special education staff for IEP goals, and coordinating teacher aide and volunteer schedules

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate in agricultural science.

Responsibilities

Oversee SAEP, including assisting students in selecting and managing projects and supervising school farm.
Serve as advisor to local FFA chapter, planning and conducting leadership, citizenship, cooperative, career development, and competitive activities.
Assist with planning and delivery of adult education and community programs relating to agricultural science and technology.
Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aide(s) and volunteers.
Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
