Job summary

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe seeks an experienced professional to coordinate school resources and community partnerships. You will teach, sponsor student clubs, and bring in external resources to enrich classroom experiences for high school students.

You will arrange domestic and international travel for groups, oversee the Library/Media Center, and work with staff to support student success. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license.
• Teaching experience or experience working with high school students.
• Domestic and international travel experience required.
• Agriculture experience is a plus; Media Center/ Library experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Teach/instruct the Real-World class and sponsor clubs on campus (e.g., FBLA).
• Identify and coordinate educational resources, books, and materials for classroom instruction.
• Coordinate national/international travel for students and stakeholders.
• Serve as International Travel Coordinator and chaperone for trips.
• Maintain and develop the Library/Media Center for Real World Class activities.
• Plan and attend meetings related to student success and outreach.
• Build partnerships with companies and speakers for student benefit.
• Drive a state vehicle as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
