Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to thrive in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with ability to modify during the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students’ needs.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in planning and instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for learning.
• Incorporate diverse curricula reflecting students’ backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Meet with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology into daily practice to support learning.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities as needed.
