Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking a qualified 6th–8th Grade Math Teacher in Cleveland, Ohio to bring the curriculum to life and foster a positive classroom environment. Responsibilities include designing lessons, differentiating instruction, tracking progress, and integrating technology, while collaborating with colleagues and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
