Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a 4th grade Social Studies Teacher for IDEA Henry Academy in Texas. This role is an immediate opening and requires dedication to helping students master academics and social skills in a college-bound culture.

The teacher will plan and deliver rigorous instruction, assess mastery, and collaborate with families and the IDEA team to support student growth. A valid teaching certification and K-12 experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or relevant study.
• Experience in K-12 classroom settings is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage student behavior and communicate effectively with families.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families weekly.
• Support school culture and implement behavior management systems.
• Provide tutoring after school or on Saturdays as needed.
