Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Technician to calibrate spraying equipment, apply pesticides safely, and maintain neat records of all applications.

You will assist with irrigation system maintenance, mowing and turf care, and act as lead crew member on special projects. Must have two years in golf course maintenance and be able to obtain the Georgia Pesticide Applicator’s License within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in golf course maintenance.
• Desire at least one year of pesticide application experience.
• Proficient in calibration of sprayers/spreaders.
• Must obtain Georgia Pesticide Applicator’s License within six months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Desire Turf Management Degree.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates spraying equipment.
• Applies and stores pesticides in accordance with regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of pesticides and safety precautions.
• Keeps neat and accurate records of all pesticide applications.
• Maintains all spraying equipment; keeps mixing areas clean and neat.
• Participates in morning golf course setup; monitors irrigation system and pump station.
• Maintains and repairs irrigation system.
• Scouts course for insects, weeds, and diseases; discusses observations with Superintendent.
• Assist with wilt watch for bentgrass greens.
• Assist with mowing and maintenance of turf areas.
• Act as lead crew member on special projects.
• Other duties as assigned
