Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a 21st Century Parent Engagement Coordinator to support the Afterschool program under the Afterschool Director. The role involves recruiting parents, disseminating program information, scheduling virtual meetings, and following up on student absences to strengthen family involvement in 21st CCLC.

You will collaborate with site coordinators, teachers, and families to ensure smooth operation, timely communications, and adherence to safety and program

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional certificate and high school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Associate Degree in education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Title 1 schools or as a Parent Liaison preferred.
• Must obtain any required certifications for the position and have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks related to the position's scope.
• Support recruitment and attendance along with parent activities/workshops.
• Maintain certifications and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with communications to parents and dissemination of information.
• Collaborate with schools and youth programs to engage families.
