Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks an experienced 21st Century Certified Teacher to support the After School program (21st CCLC). The role delivers academic instruction, tutoring, and STEAM activities virtually or onsite, collaborating with teachers and the YMCA network to support students’ progress and engagement.

You will develop age-appropriate lessons, collect data, and ensure high-quality service while maintaining YMCA standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and Georgia Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Title 1 schools preferred.
• Teaching Certificate required or must obtain certifications for the position.
• Ability to learn 21st CCLC requirements and operate computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks related to the position’s scope and responsibility.
• Promote and ensure smooth operation of 21st CCLC sites.
• Collaborate with school staff and after-school cabinet activities.
• Develop age-appropriate lessons and provide homework/classwork support.
• Lead academic sessions and monitor student progress with assessments.
