Illinois Education Job Bank in Calumet City is seeking a classroom teacher to develop lesson plans and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with the curriculum. The role requires knowledge of common core standards, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and ongoing assessment of student learning.

You will collaborate with colleagues and administrators, communicate with families about student progress, and foster a respectful, safe learning environment.

Formación

• Current and valid teaching license or endorsement.
• Ability to develop lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Teach reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, and other subjects to pupils.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and subject matter per state law and district procedures.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized/small group instruction.
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences to maximize instructional time.
• Maintain pupil behavior standards to create a functional learning atmosphere.
• Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents to discuss pupil progress and interprete school programs.
• Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude and learning problems.
• Create effective learning environments with displays and centers.
• Maintain records as required by law and policy.
• Supervise pupils during the school day and participate in committees.
• Support intervention strategies and differentiate instruction.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
