Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging in Tacoma, WA is seeking a DXA Technician to perform bone densitometry exams across our sites, following exam protocols and documenting results in the EMR. You will position patients, operate DXA equipment, and coordinate patient care for bone density services.

Requirements include 1 year of related experience, valid WA State Technician certification, and current BLS certification. Travel to TRA offices as needed and a strong customer service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Washington State Technician certification.
• Medical Terminology certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in accordance with TRA mission and imaging standards.
• Prepares the patient for a DXA exam with clear instructions and explanation of the procedure.
• Obtains a thorough patient history as it relates to the exam.
• Positions patients correctly and accurately captures the diagnostic image.
• Maintains accurate recording of patient information and chart documentation.
• Able to travel to other TRA offices as needed.
• Performs related duties including coverage for Registration Specialists.
