Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging is seeking a DXA Technician to perform bone densitometry exams per protocols and duration, processing density measurements, and documenting patient charts in the EMR. The role involves positioning patients, operating DXA equipment, and coordinating care under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent, related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Washington State Technician certification
• Medical Terminology certification preferred
• Current BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in TRA Medical Imaging Centers.
• Prepares the patient for a DXA exam with clear instructions and explanation of the procedure.
• Obtains thorough patient history related to the exam.
• Positions patients correctly and captures diagnostic images per provider instructions.
• Maintains patient information accuracy and uses RIS/PACS for charting and documentation.
