Job summary

Power Plus in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Shop Worker/DVS Field Technician to maintain the shop/yard, build and repair field equipment, and support installations of Power Plus Designed Video Surveillance systems across construction and commercial sites.

You will be involved in loading trucks, testing video alarm events, coordinating with central station, and providing field feedback. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with low-voltage wiring methods and terminations.
• Able to use power and hand tools safely.
• Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to drive a forklift and handle loading/unloading equipment.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a field environment.
• Mechanical or electrical skills relevant to DVS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians as needed.
• Build and repair DVS equipment.
• Clean and maintain shop and yard daily.
• Clean and repair trailers.
• Maintain inventory as needed.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and wear PPE.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards for equipment handling.
• Test and troubleshoot video alarm events and transmission to central station.
• Provide field feedback to customers, Sales and Operations.
• Coordinate with central station during commissioning and testing.
• Perform service and repair of deployed surveillance systems in fields.
• Diagnose camera, network, wireless, and power/UPS issues.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas on job sites.
• Document installation, testing and service activities per requirements.
• Other duties as needed.
