Job summary

Power Plus is hiring for a Shop Worker/DVS Field Technician in Arlington, TX. The role involves maintaining the shop and yard, building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks, and supporting DVS installations across commercial environments.

Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of Power Plus Designed Video Surveillance systems. You will handle cabling, testing, and ensuring transmission to the monitoring center, while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring methods, terminations, and installation standards.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to drive forklift and load/unload equipment.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

• Assist technicians as needed.
• Build and repair DVS equipment.
• Clean and maintain shop and yard daily.
• Clean and repair trailers.
• Maintain inventory as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and use of equipment.
• Adhere to Power Plus safety and quality standards when setting/picking up equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot video alarm events and signals to confirm transmission to monitoring central station.
• Provide field feedback to customers, Sales, and Operations on feasibility and needs.
• Coordinate with central station and technical support during commissioning, testing, and service activities.
• Perform service, maintenance, and repair of deployed surveillance systems in the field.
• Diagnose camera, network, wireless, and power/UPS issues.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas on active job sites.
• Follow Power Plus safety, quality, and installation standards and procedures.
• Document installation, testing, commissioning, and service activities per DVS and central station requirements.
• Other duties as needed.

Currently we are seeking a candidate to join our Designated Video Surveillance (DVS) team as aShop Worker/DVS Field Technician

Summary

This position consists of maintaining the shop and yard, building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks and maintaining a well-stocked warehouse. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Power Plus Designed Video Surveillance (DVS) systems across construction and commercial environments. This role supports both new installations and takeovers of existing customer surveillance systems for monitoring services. The incumbent performs structured cabling of network equipment configuration and conducts testing and troubleshooting to ensure video alarm events and system health signals are successfully transmitted to the monitoring central station.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist technicians as needed.
• Build and repair DVS equipment
• Clean and maintain shop and yard on a daily basis.
• Clean and repair trailers
• Maintain inventory as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and use of equipment - hard hats, etc.
• Adhere to Power Plus safety and quality standards when setting and/or picking up equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot video alarm events, communications paths, and supervisory signals to confirm successful transmission to the monitoring central station
• Provide field feedback to customers, Sales, and Operations regarding deployment feasibility, equipment needs, and site constraints
• Coordinate with central station and technical support teams during commissioning, testing, and service activities
• Perform service, maintenance, and repair of deployed surveillance systems in field environments
• Diagnose and resolve camera, network, wireless, and power/UPS related issues
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas on active job sites
• Follow Power Plus safety, quality, and installation standards and procedures
• Document installation, testing, commissioning, and service activities per DVS and central station requirements
• Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00
