Job summary

Qualifications

  • 60-hour NJ State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate and DVRT/HT training completed.
  • Experience working with people one-to-one and ability to train staff.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and public speaking.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Criminal Justice or Human Services.
  • Experience in supervision or management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage volunteers and interns to provide 24-hour accompaniments and advocacy.
  • Provide training and education to volunteers and staff.
  • Ensure hotline coverage by coordinating volunteer schedules.
  • Collect activation statistics and prepare reports for funding sources.
  • Attend county and DV meetings and maintain volunteer records.
  • Develop newsletters and host meetings/trainings for volunteers and staff.
  • Interview potential volunteers, perform reference checks, and submit volunteer stipends.
  • Update volunteer handbook and training manuals.
