Responsibilities

• Interview customers to elicit information regarding education, training, work experience, and goals.
• Assist customers in registering for services; search current job listings; screen applicants for job orders.
• Refer qualified customers to businesses and verify referral results.
• Provide information and referrals to community programs; identify clients eligible for Trade Readjustment Act, Career Enhancement, or veterans services.
• Assist customers to use the resource center’s equipment to search for employment and prepare resumes and cover letters.
• Advise job seekers on self-assessment results, career direction, and training resources; edit resumes.
• Conduct individual or group orientation sessions to inform customers of programs and services available.
