Job Title: Dust Crew Associate Job Description

The Dust Crew Associate helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment by removing dust and debris, cleaning production areas and equipment, and supporting overall plant housekeeping. This role involves operating industrial vacuums and cleaning tools, working in a busy production setting with dust, noise, and varying temperatures, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities
  • Remove dust, debris, and waste materials from production areas and throughout the facility to support a clean and safe work environment.

  • Clean production equipment, machinery, and surrounding workstations according to established procedures.

  • Operate industrial vacuums, cleaning tools, and related equipment safely and effectively.

  • Support plant housekeeping efforts by maintaining cleanliness in aisles, walkways, and common areas.

  • Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces in manufacturing and warehouse areas.

  • Assist with basic machine cleaning and support machine operation activities as needed, following guidance and safety instructions.

  • Use hand tools and other basic equipment safely while performing cleaning and light production support tasks.

  • Handle heavy lifting tasks, including moving materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, as required.

  • Climb ladders when needed to access elevated surfaces, equipment, or structures for cleaning.

  • Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the shift.

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of cleaning equipment.

  • Communicate any equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

  • Support general production, assembly, and sanitation activities as needed to maintain efficient plant operations.

  • Assist with basic troubleshooting related to cleaning equipment or simple production support tasks within scope of the role.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform heavy lifting tasks safely.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for the duration of the shift.

  • Comfort climbing ladders and working at various heights when required.

  • Experience with sanitation or industrial cleaning in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting (preferred).

  • Capability to operate industrial vacuums and basic cleaning tools safely and effectively.

  • Ability to multitask and manage several cleaning and housekeeping duties during the shift.

  • Basic familiarity with general labor, production, or machine operation environments.

  • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in production, general labor, or general production roles.

  • Background in sanitation work within industrial or manufacturing facilities.

  • Experience with assembly tasks or supporting assembly operations.

  • Exposure to machine operation or machine operating in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience using hand tools safely in an industrial or construction environment.

  • Familiarity with construction environments or similar physically demanding work.

  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately when needed for basic tasks.

  • Experience operating a forklift or supporting material handling activities.

  • Exposure to extrusion machines or extruder operations is a plus.

  • Basic troubleshooting ability for simple issues related to cleaning tools or equipment.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Meridian, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
