Job summary

Wilson County Schools Federal Programs seeks an During the Day Instructional Tutor at Level Up Academy in Wilson, NC. This part-time role focuses on targeted intervention and small-group instruction to support classroom learning.

The tutor will analyze student data, plan daily lessons aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study, communicate with classroom teachers and parents, and maintain progress records. A North Carolina teaching license is required.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes student data and observations of student work to determine student needs
  • Plans daily intervention lessons that are based on student need and the NC Standard Course of Study.
  • Facilitates engaging small group instruction for students
  • Maintains open communication with the student’s regular classroom teacher and their parent/guardian to ensure student needs are being met
  • Maintains records of student progress and attendance
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Reports to: Executive Director of Federal Programs

Terms of Employment: Part-time Position

Location: Level Up Academy

Qualifications and Licensure:

  • Knowledge of current teaching standards and research-base teaching strategies
  • Evidence of teacher effectiveness (assessment data or EVAAS teacher effectiveness data)
  • Active North Carolina Teaching License

Duties and Responsibilities:
