UKCIL Ltd. in Durham (DH1) is seeking a fun, energetic and patient support worker for a 9-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and learning disabilities.

You will assist with personal care, play and sensory activities, and help her navigate daily life at home, with a focus on safety and calmness.

Hours are 4 hours per week during school terms and 8 hours per week in school holidays at £13 per hour; driving not required but own transport is a bonus; enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND is a plus but a positive attitude is essential.
• Enhanced DBS required; employer covers cost.
• Training will be provided, including epilepsy management.

Responsabilités

• Assist the child with personal care and daily routines at home.
• Support play and sensory exploration while staying calm during challenging behaviour.
• Help monitor epilepsy and ensure safe mobility using wheelchairs or walking aids.
