Job summary

Durham FQHC in Durham, NC seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner for outpatient primary care. The role includes 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and periodic Saturday coverage.

Join a collaborative, team-based care model with physicians, behavioral health, pharmacists and care coordinators. Qualified candidates will have an accredited NP program, NP certification (Family or Adult), NC license or eligibility, and ideally 2+ years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Current North Carolina NP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of primary care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient primary care practice with 32 hours of direct patient care per week.
• 8 hours of dedicated administrative/documentation time per week.
• Typically Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturday clinic coverage a few times per year.
• Collaborative, team-based care model with physicians, APNs, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists and care coordinators.
• Provider schedules designed to support work-life balance and patient access.

An established, nationally recognized Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Durham, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our growing primary care team. For more than 50 years, we have provided comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to patients throughout Durham and surrounding communities, regardless of their ability to pay.

Position Highlights

• Full-time outpatient primary care position
• 32 hours of direct patient care
• 8 hours of dedicated administrative/documentation time
• Primarily Monday through Friday
• Rotating Saturday clinic coverage approximately 5-6 times per year
• Call coverage approximately 5-6 weeks per year
• Collaborative, team-based care model
