Job summary

WeDriveU is hiring a Utility Worker in Durham, NC area to ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for service and to perform interior inspections and light maintenance. You will support the maintenance team and help with vehicle readiness for varying schedules throughout the day.

The role requires strong attention to detail, multitasking, and good communication, with the ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for extended periods. Solid driving experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of driving experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; passenger endorsement preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and assist with basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Maintenance Department and Technicians (washing, fueling, cleanups).
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Record time and materials used for each assignment.
• Assist with automotive repair and maintenance as needed.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Utility Worker will report to the Operations Management team. They will ensure all vehicles are completely fueled and fluids topped, ready for service at various times of day. They will also be responsible for Vehicle Interior inspection and light maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians (e.g. vehicle washing, vehicle or facility cleaning, vehicle fueling, vehicle seat repair, fluid checks, facility maintenance, etc.) in accordance with established schedules
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to the attention of supervisor
• Records time and materials used for each assignment.
• Provides automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Required and Physical Demands

• Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications

Hard requirements:

• 5 years of driving experience
• Passenger Endorsement preferred
