Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Utility Worker to support the Maintenance team, fueling and inspecting vehicles, and assisting with light maintenance on our bus fleet. The role requires a valid North Carolina CDL and the ability to work varied shifts across locations.

You will help with vehicle washing, fueling, and basic repairs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and accurate time/materials records. On-the-job training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid CDL in NC is required.
• 1 year or more of janitorial or auto detailing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Maintenance and Technicians (washing, cleaning, fueling, and minor repairs) in accordance with schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report unsafe practices to the supervisor.
• Record time and materials used for each assignment.
• Provide automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Utility Worker will report to the Operations Management team. Responsibilities include ensuring all vehicles are fully fueled and fluids topped off, ready for service at various times of day. The role also covers vehicle interior inspection and light maintenance. As the position involves driving buses on public roads, a valid CDL in North Carolina is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians (e.g., vehicle washing, vehicle or facility cleaning, vehicle fueling, vehicle seat repair, fluid checks, facility maintenance, etc.) in accordance with established schedules
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to the attention of the supervisor
• Records time and materials used for each assignment
• Provides automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
