Job summary

Aspida is seeking a Summer 2027 Finance Intern to join the Durham, NC team. You will work in Budgeting, Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting within the finance group, gaining exposure to Tax, Strategy, Controllership, or FP&A.

On-site 3 days per week at our Durham headquarters, this internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-moving fintech insurer environment. You will support budgeting, variance analysis, vendor invoicing, and financial data entry across SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks, while

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and Forecasting Support: help in budgets and forecasts.
• Account Reconciliation: assist in reconciling bank statements and GL entries.
• Financial Reporting: assist monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Invoice Processing & Expense Tracking: review vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Market and Competitor Research: conduct basic financial research and summarize findings.
• ERP/Finance System Data Entry: enter data in SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
• Ad Hoc Projects: assist with cost-saving initiatives and data cleanup.
