Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corp. in Marietta, GA is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer for the Service Life Analysis Group to ensure the longevity and safety of airframe structures.

You will apply durability and damage tolerance analysis to solve complex technical challenges within AMMM and ADP programs. You will use crack initiation and crack growth tools to perform design sizing, support MRB decisions, and provide field dispositions, while developing force-management data to actively manage the airframe

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience performing stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and/or durability and damage tolerance analysis.
• Understanding of engineering drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Use crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, support MRB decisions, and provide field dispositions.
• Develop force-management source data to actively manage the airframe and ensure safe operation.
• Create and implement FSMPs and IAT to support force-management activities.
• Participate in MRB processes and propagate technical findings to cross-functional teams.
• Support field disposition decisions through data-driven analysis and reporting.
