Job summary

Four Seasons Maui is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee the hotel's dining outlets, lead the Food & Beverage team, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will manage daily operations, coach staff, and ensure the highest standards in service, quality, and presentation.

The role requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience in F&B, strong knowledge of service standards, and proficiency with restaurant systems; Hawaii-specific certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or as an assistant manager in Food & Beverage.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost and labor control, maintenance, merchandising and accounting.
• Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the outlet to meet cultural and core standards and daily operations.
• Be visible in the operation, recognize staff, promote public relations and handle guest requests or concerns.
• Describe and ensure quality of all food & beverage items and knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegant setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

DUO Assistant Manager

Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Hotel’s All-Day or Fining Dining Restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Division, reporting to the DUO Managers. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

What You Will Do

• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.
• The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
• Describe and ensure quality of all food & beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

What You Will Bring

• One to two years previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
• Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Hawaii Food Handler Card
• Maui Liquor Card ServSafe (within 3 months)
• Tuberculosis Clearance

• Full time schedule based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
