Din Tai Fung North America is seeking a friendly Dumpling Prep Trainee to join our show kitchen in Manhattan. You will learn to prepare, assemble, fold, and steam dumplings, with a hands-on program that transitions you into Dumpling Prep after completion.

Qualifications

• Dumpling experience is not required.
• Experience in prep, specifically with dough (pastry, pizza, etc.) is a plus.
• Open Availability
• Eager to learn, enjoys to be challenged
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
• Organizes items within the walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds).
• Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and SOPs.
