Din Tai Fung North America in Los Angeles is seeking a Dumpling Trainee to join our show kitchen team. You will help prepare, fold, and steam dumplings for guests, maintaining a tidy, professional workspace while learning the Dumpling Prep program and earning competitive hourly pay.

No prior dumpling experience is required, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to stand long shifts are essential. Open availability and teamwork are highly valued as we promote from within.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic, and motivated in a fast-paced team.
• Dumpling experience not required.
• Experience with dough prep is a plus.
• Open availability to work shifts.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, measures, and cuts dough.
• Rolls dumpling/bun skins.
• Stuffs, closes, and arranges dumplings/buns in a steamer.
• Adds meat and allergen identifiers.
• Steams dumplings/buns.
• Maintains a clean working space and dumpling room.
• Labels all items in accordance with regulations and procedures.
• Attends monthly staff and dumpling meetings.
