Job summary

Duet - Nebraska is seeking a Medical Support Manager to oversee medical documentation, appointment logistics, and staff training. The role involves coordinating transport for medical visits and maintaining accurate Therap and eMARS records.

You will build relationships with local physicians, provide health updates to the team, and ensure HIPAA compliance while representing Duet in a positive light.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• CNA or degree in a related field preferred.
• Must maintain Med Aide certification.
• Ability to pass a criminal, APS/CPS and Medicaid exclusion background check.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Ability independently, with and without close supervision.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPPA regulations.
• Must always possess a positive and professional attitude and represent Duet in a positive light.
• Knowledge of software required by Duet and the State of Nebraska preferred; Microsoft Office and TherapWorkday.
• A minimum of 1-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage eMARS records: correct, unlocked, reconciled monthly with counts matching location.
• Coordinate medical appointments and transportation; schedule, follow-ups, and Therap updates.
• Build and maintain a network of local physicians and medical offices.
• Provide health updates to stakeholders; train staff on new medical documentation and procedures; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Complete Med Aide competency as required by Duet policy.
• Report to work reliably and on schedule.

Job TitleDuet, Medical Support Manager (MSM)Hours Required40Job Description and HoursThis position is responsible for assisting the areas out with a variety of medical documentation and other medical tasks that do not require a nurse. This position will be transporting those Duet supports to medical appointments.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION1. Responsible for assuring eMARS (electronic Medication Administration Records) are:Correct, unlocked and able to be utilized by Med AidesCompleted accurately and in a timely mannerReconciled at the end of each month ensuring physical medication counts match what is present at the location.2. Responsible for medical appointments and all related items, including but not limited to:Tracking all required appointments; assuring all are completed in required timelineScheduling all routine, follow-up and unexpected medical, dental, vision and specialist appointmentsTransport to or arranging transportation to all medical, dental, vision and specialist appointmentsPut all appointments and subsequent follow ups into TherapComplete paperwork prior to and after each appointment with accuracy and updating Therap accordingly :3. Build and maintain a network of local physicians, medical offices and generally the medical community.4. Provide appropriate health updates to all stakeholders and members of the team. This includes:Training for Duet employees for any new medical documentation required and whenever the documentation required is changed.Training for Duet employees on medical procedures that have been delegated to the MSM by a nurse or that do not require a nurse delegationAssure that team members that are not a part of Duet are identified and kept up to date on health issues.5. Complete Med Aide competency as required by Duet policy and procedure6. Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.Essential Experience, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:1.
