Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
• Previous poultry or agricultural experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely handle live poultry up to 10 lbs.
• Comfortable with bending, twisting, and moderate ladder climbing.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading market-age duck trailers and safely handle fatigued birds.
• Transfer ducks between barns, the round room, and the belt.
• Wash and disinfect Market Age Duck trucks and trailers promptly.
• Report equipment issues, air quality concerns, or safety hazards immediately to the Supervisor or Lead.
• Support the Holding House Manager by identifying and helping correct issues involving efficiency, quality, or safety.
• Maintain excellent facility cleanliness and perform routine housekeeping.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
