Job summary

Maple Leaf Farms is seeking a hands-on supervisor for the Holding House operations on the 3rd shift. You will lead and supervise Holding House employees and truck drivers, manage daily assignments, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will train staff on duck care, safety procedures, and company policies, monitor performance, and coordinate with Processing Plant management and USDA inspectors to uphold Duck Well-Being and biosecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable to established expectations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read English; bilingual capabilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Holding House employees and drivers on assigned operations.
• Coordinate daily assignments and schedules to meet operations needs.
• Monitor performance, attendance, productivity, safety, and procedures.
• Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and evaluations.
• Train employees on duck care, safety, and company policies.
• Ensure ducks are moved safely per Duck Well-Being standards.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate washing of transport equipment with Holding House management.
• Conduct safety meetings and performance discussions.
• Monitor supplies and initiate reorders.
• Communicate with Processing Plant management, USDA inspectors, and other departments.
