Job summary

MK Services in Middleton, MA seeks a skilled CNC turning programmer to develop and refine Mastercam programs for single-spindle and dual-spindle machines. You will translate GD&T and CAD data into efficient, manufacturable processes while selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.

You will collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality to launch and stabilize production, document procedures, and push continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of CNC turning programming experience; aerospace/defense/medical preferred.
• Proficiency with Mastercam; Gibbs CAM and CAMWorks helpful; SolidWorks familiarity beneficial.
• Deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality systems with strong problem-solving.
• Clear communicator with machinists, programmers, engineers, and suppliers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in CNC or related field preferred.
• Proven capability in CNC programming and aerospace manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine CNC programs in Mastercam for single-spindle/turret and multi-axis lathes.
• Translate ASME Y14.5 GD&T and CAD data into efficient machining processes.
• Select cutting tools, holders, fixtures, and materials that fit capabilities and parts.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality to launch and improve processes.
• Maintain documentation—programs, setup instructions, revisions, and posts.
• Drive continuous improvement and stay current on tooling and machining tech.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
