Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of CNC turning programming experience; aerospace/defense/medical preferred.
• Proficiency with Mastercam; Gibbs CAM and CAMWorks helpful; SolidWorks familiarity beneficial.
• Deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality systems with strong problem-solving.
• Clear communicator with machinists, programmers, engineers, and suppliers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in CNC or related field preferred.
• Proven capability in CNC programming and aerospace manufacturing practices.

You import the model into Mastercam, define op sequences, select inserts and holders that fit the envelope, and post a first article program. On the floor, you partner with a seasoned machinist to prove it out—tweaking feeds, optimizing chip control, and validating features. You lock down the setup sheet, archive the proven .nc, and roll lessons learned into the next program.
