Job summary

Siemens, a global technology company, seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at our Livermore and San Leandro facilities. You will oversee laser cutting, press brake, copper pre-fabrication, machine shop, welding, and assembly to deliver safe, high-quality output on schedule.

This role demands hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration with planning, materials, engineering, quality and maintenance, and a focus on continuous improvement across two sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading frontline teams in fabrication, welding, or metal processing.
• Experience with unions, planning, purchasing, engineering, quality and maintenance.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and coach frontline leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations including laser, press brake, copper pre-fabrication, machine shop, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with planning, purchasing, engineering, quality, maintenance, and EHS.
• Maintain shop-floor presence, provide direction, and escalate issues to frontline teams.
• Manage labor allocation, staffing priorities, and production execution to meet targets.
• Ensure safe operations, quality standards, and adherence to policies.
• Drive schedule attainment, productivity, and throughput across two sites.
• Identify bottlenecks and plant issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Foster continuous improvement and performance management across Livermore and San Leandro.
