Jobot is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller to run the finance function for two automotive plants, anchored at the larger Kentucky site in Wax with a smaller sister plant in Central Texas. You’ll own budgeting, rolling forecasts, month-end close, variance reporting, and inventory accounting, reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to Corporate Finance.

You bring 5–10 years in manufacturing finance, with SOX exposure and ERP experience (IQMS preferred; SAP/Oracle also considered).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA and/or CMA preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and variance reporting for both plants.
• Run a timely, accurate month-end close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting to corporate.
• Maintain the standard cost system, including cost rollups, cost updates, and inventory valuation.
• Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Analyze labor, material, scrap, and overhead against standard and recommend corrective action.
• Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain on cost reduction and efficiency.
• Build and report the KPIs that matter: productivity, inventory, working capital, and cash flow.
• Support quoting, new business awards, product launches, and engineering changes with sound financial analysis.
• Evaluate capital projects with ROI and payback analysis.
• Help implement and sustain SOX controls as the organization moves through its SOX transition.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and coordinate audits with Corporate Finance.
• Lead and develop two direct reports: a Senior Financial Analyst and a Senior Cost Accountant.
