Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a part-time Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) for the Miamisburg location to join the interdisciplinary patient care team. The role combines HUC and NA duties, supporting daily living activities and patient care tasks under licensed nurses, while coordinating unit workflows and records.

The HUC NA will interact with nursing staff, physicians and others, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless communication.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire.
• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have one of: six months of nursing assistant experience or Nursing Assistant course completion or nursing student/pre-nursing status or current KH employee.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day patient care unit activities and communicate with nursing staff, physicians and interdepartmental personnel.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and delegated patient care tasks.
• Maintain and facilitate electronic medical records as a resource for physicians and the health care team.
• Support department operational needs and perform other duties as assigned.
