Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus is seeking a part-time Health Unit Coordinator to support patient care and operational reliability on the nursing unit. You will facilitate communication, manage administrative processes, and ensure accurate documentation.

Preferred candidates have a Health Unit Coordinator certificate or medical terminology coursework, plus experience with EHR systems. CPR and BLS certifications are a plus; NAHUC certification is welcome.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a healthcare, administrative, or customer service role.
• CPR certification.
• Health Unit Coordinator certificate program or coursework in medical terminology.
• Experience in a medical environment or with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification from the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators (NAHUC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication and coordinate administrative tasks in the nursing unit.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a central resource for staff, patients, and families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with mission and B Safe program.
