Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking an ER Lab Tech in a PRN capacity to support both clinical laboratory operations and the emergency department. You will collect specimens, assist with basic testing, and help care for patients in a fast-paced ER, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and adherence to hospital policies. Training is available for qualified candidates with healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• EMT license or CNA experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare specimens (blood, urine, other fluids) per protocols.
• Assist with basic lab testing and operate simple equipment under supervision.
• Maintain clean and organized lab and ER areas and equipment.
• Follow safety, infection control, and hospital policies for a safe environment.
• Accurately document laboratory and patient care activities.
