Job summary

Viceroy Hotels in Washington DC seeks an Assistant Human Resources Manager to partner with department leaders and executives, leading HR operations for two properties. You will drive talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance, aligning with DC employment regulations and company standards.

The role requires operational rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential matters in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 2–4 years HR experience (luxury hospitality preferred).
• Familiarity with federal and DC employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, wage & hour).
• Experience managing employee relations and performance management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
• Provide guidance on performance management, corrective action, and progressive discipline.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and propose resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and DC employment laws.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and personnel documentation.
• Support payroll processing, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
• Assist with workforce planning, turnover analysis, and HR reporting metrics.
• Support colleague engagement initiatives and training development.
