Job summary

Walmart’s Licensed Vision Center Manager - Dual in South Euclid, OH leads merchandising, pricing, and inventory for the optical department. You forecast sales, align assortments with local needs, and drive revenue while engaging with the community.

Under supervision, you oversee eyewear measurements, fittings, and education, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate records. You coach the optical team, manage scheduling, and uphold high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Option 1 — completion of 2 or more years of college; Option 2 — 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; Option 3 — 2 years' general work experience, including 1 year's optical experience; High School diploma or equivalent, unless state specific regulations require advanced education; Meets eligibility requirements to work in the Vision Center, including minimum age of 18, certification, registration, licensure, and other qualifications required by company policy and applicable regulations; Active state licensure; Active ABO.

Responsibilities

• Leads department sales growth through effective merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
• Forecasts sales trends and aligns product assortments with customer needs, community demographics, and local economic patterns.
• Monitors competitive pricing and adjusts strategies to strengthen market relevance and achieve financial targets.
• Encourages team engagement in store and builds connections with stakeholders to enhance departmental visibility and long‑term impact.
• Leads community outreach efforts to promote optical services, expand brand presence, and strengthen local relationships.
• Represents the optical department in both community programs and internal business initiatives that support organizational goals.
• Sets and upholds high service standards to ensure prompt, accurate resolution of customer inquiries and concerns.
• Leads lifestyle consultations and recommends visual solutions with clear guidance on product and features that will fill patient needs under appropriate supervision.
• Oversees precise eyewear measurements, fittings, adjustments, and contact lens education, maintaining safety and accuracy under applicable optometric supervision.
• Ensures confidentiality of customer information and maintains HIPAA and safety protocol documentation.
• Manages quality assurance processes, resolves complex optical issues under applicable optometric supervision, and maintains equipment calibration, cleanliness, and readiness.
• Leads, coaches, and develops the optical team through hiring, training, performance management, and recognition.
• Fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and continuous development.
• Assigns duties strategically to optimize workflow, elevate skills, and ensure operational excellence.
• Supports certification and licensure pathways, encourages skill advancement, and ensures timely renewal of credentials.
• Oversees accuracy of all optical measurements and equipment usage under applicable supervision.
• Oversees order processing, inventory control, and adherence to maintenance protocols.
• Promotes OD services and new optical technologies to improve accuracy and customer experience.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, optical regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
