Instructional Planning and Delivery
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
- Design and deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction in both Spanish and English.

- Implement the district’s Multi-tiered System of Supports for multilingual students.
Classroom Environment
- Create a conducive learning environment suitable for students' physical, social, and emotional development.

Assessment and Evaluation
- Use assessment data and second language acquisition knowledge to plan instruction and monitor progress.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments.

- Maintain certification to administer WIDA assessments for multilingual student placement.
Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborate with staff to ensure program success.

Job Summary: The Dual Language Spanish and English Classroom Teacher fosters bilingualism, biliteracy, and multicultural competence, inspiring students to achieve and thrive.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's in Elementary or Bilingual Education, proficiency in Spanish and English, experience in dual language or bilingual classrooms, and student teaching background.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or equivalent, with Bilingual Education and/or ESL endorsements.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of dual language principles, curriculum standards, assessment practices, language acquisition, and effective teaching strategies.
