We are seeking a passionate Kindergarten Mandarin Dual Immersion Teacher who will inspire young learners in a bilingual setting. The ideal candidate will engage students with immersive instruction in both Mandarin and English, fostering language skills, cultural appreciation, and critical thinking. Join our team and empower students on their path to bilingual fluency! The position is at Wilson Elementary School.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter
  • Assesses initial and continuing individual student and class needs
  • Determines appropriate learning objectives in cooperation with the evaluator, aligned with the District course of study and student needs
  • Plans appropriate learning experiences
  • Provides individual and/or group instruction
  • Monitors student progress and evaluates achievement based on established learning objectives
  • Reports individual student progress to parents and school personnel through reports and/or conferences
  • Creates a functional and attractive learning environment
  • Maintains professional competence through in-service education and professional development
  • Performs basic attendance accounting and other required reporting functions
  • Assists in selecting instructional materials and supplies
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate standards of student behavior
  • Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the workday
  • Monitors and maintains a comfortable classroom environment including heating, lighting, and ventilation as possible
  • Administers standardized tests in accordance with District testing programs
  • Participates in developing curriculum and other school or District-level programs
  • Utilizes support services as appropriate
  • Plans and coordinates the work of instructional aides, teacher assistants, and community volunteers as needed
  • Shares in the sponsorship of student activities and participates in faculty committees
  • Interacts professionally with colleagues, parents, and the community
  • Adheres to the Code of Ethics of the Teaching Profession

Qualifications

  • Multiple Subject California Teaching Credential with Mandarin Bilingual Authorization
  • Fluency in Mandarin & English required (reading, writing, and speaking)

Annual Salary Range

$54,976 - $98,470
