Job summary

The Hilton Hampton Inn & Suites Happy Valley Phoenix North is seeking a Dual Hotel Chief Engineer to lead property maintenance, ensure guest comfort, and safeguard building systems. You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage in-house projects, supervise contractors, and coordinate facility and grounds care, with emphasis on safety, quality, and cost efficiency across a busy hospitality property.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hotel, building, apartment, or similar maintenance environment
• High problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to implement and manage projects from inception to completion
• Supervisory experience
• Experience in preventative maintenance and general repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and building components
• When applicable, experience operating and maintaining a commercial pool

Responsibilities

• Property Maintenance & Repairs: Perform and oversee preventive maintenance programs and repairs for equipment, guest rooms, and overall property infrastructure
• Project Management: Serve as project manager for in-house projects by gathering proposals, providing recommendations, coordinating schedules, ensuring quality control, managing budgets, and resolving issues as they arise
• Contractor Oversight: Secure and supervise outside contractors for complex equipment and building repair needs, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards
• Facility & Grounds Care: Preserve the property’s exterior appearance, including landscaping, lawn care, and upkeep of parking areas, plus pool/spa maintenance where applicable
