South Texas College is seeking a Dual Credit Advisor to support Dual Credit students by providing academic advisement, degree planning, and college transition services. The role includes building partnerships with high schools, coordinating workshops, and guiding students through degree plans and transfer opportunities.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years in advising or related student services, with preferred experience in dual credit environments; bilingual ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of experience in advising, registration, financial aid, counseling, or student services; experience with dual credit programs preferred.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic advising and degree planning for Dual Credit students.
• Build networks with campus principals and counselors.
• Develop and present academic/workshops for Dual Credit programs.
• Coordinate advising processes and be available to students year-round.
• Serve as liaison with faculty and district staff to support student success.
• Read and interpret degree plans for students.
• Assist with financial aid information and admissions requirements.
• Conduct presentations on advising and college resources.
