Job summary

South Texas College seeks a Dual Credit Success Coach at the Weslaco Mid Valley Campus to coordinate and monitor dual credit initiatives, collaborate with district partners, and guide students toward successful completion of degree pathways.

You will lead program implementation, supervise staff, and deliver training on Blackboard, JagNet, and Degree Works while engaging with school districts and College stakeholders to promote student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in working with dual credit programs and/or students, preferred.
• Experience in a higher education institution, preferred.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises dual credits students on requirements and expectations of college-level courses.
• Coordinates and supervises the implementation of the Instructional Plans and student initiatives for college readiness.
• Serves as primary contact for Texas Education Agency leadership meetings with partnering school districts.
• Coordinates Summer Bridge Program activities with partnering schools.
• Develops and leads professional development workshops for school districts and higher education staff.
• Provides training on Blackboard, JagNet, and Degree Works to students and staff.
• Maintains knowledge of college programs, policies, procedures and standards.
